CLUB EXPERINCES
BAKING AND COOKING CLUB
Sponsor: Mrs. Green & Mrs. Vargas
Experiences: Members learn the basics of baking and cooking while following recipes.
When:
Wednesdays 2:30 - 3:40 p.m. (late bus available)
Yearlong (every other week opposite Culture Club); there will be one session per trimester that maxes out at 20 students
CRAFTING CLUB
Sponsors: Mrs. Vargas
Experiences: Join in and showcase your Viking Spirit!! Support AMS’s sports teams and clubs by making signs, decorating bulletin boards, and spreading Viking Cheer. You will also improve your crafting skills. Projects may include crocheting, sewing, origami, and knitting. We will also make spiritwear shirts with the use of our Cricut Machine.
When: TBD 2:30 - 3:40 p.m. (late bus available)
Thursdays-September - May (schedule to come)
FALL CULTURE CLUB
Sponsor: Mrs. Kane
Experiences: Showcase our Viking diversity and help AMS build a more inclusive and equitable school environment for all. Share your culture with others and learn from those around you. All are welcome!
When: September-December, Third Wednesday of the Month (9/18, 10/16, 11/20, 12/18)
SPRING ANIME CLUB
Sponsor: Mrs. Kane
Experiences: Anime Club is a space to share your love and knowledge of Japanese animation. Members participate in viewing of anime series, making crafts, engaging in active discussions, and drawing anime characters.
When: January-April Third Wednesday of the Month (1/22, 2/19, 3/19, 4/23)
Where: Mrs. Kane’s Room 222
VIDEO GAME CLUB
Sponsor: Mr. Porcelli
Experiences: Video Game Club provides students the opportunity to play games on a variety of different gaming platforms. Students will bring their own video games. They will have the ability to plug them into the school's displays. Students can bring handheld games, consoles consoles, mobile games (cell phone), and Chromebook games.
When: Tuesdays 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. (late bus available) Once a month
YOGA AND WELLNESS CLUB
Sponsors: Ms. Cummane
Experiences: This club will focus on yoga and movement, including breathing, poses, relaxation, and meditation. We will also learn to make healthy snacks to promote wellness. If you are feeling stressed or tense, take a midweek break with us!
