Salt Creek School District 48's Preschool is proud to serve preschool-age students who live in our school district boundaries, which cover parts of Villa Park, Elmhurst, Oakbrook Terrace, and Oak Brook.
Our preschool provides an inclusive setting that recognizes children's varied abilities, interests, needs, and learning styles. We believe children learn best through meaningful play. Meaningful play encourages curiosity, discovery, and problem solving, which allows individual growth and the development of a positive self-image.
Large group time that includes calendar, weather, Jolly Phonics, Handwriting Without Tears, songs, finger plays, stories, and more!
Children plan, play, and interact with other children in a variety of play areas in the classroom including games and manipulatives, dramatic play, blocks, art, and sensory table.
Participation in differentiated, teacher-directed activities designed to promote letter recognition, name writing, counting, number recognition, and other kindergarten readiness skills.
Children participate in a variety of activities using balls, bean bags, scooters, hula hoops, and parachutes to develop gross motor skills.
