MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Welcome Swartz Elementary Families!

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Stella May Swartz School. I am honored to have this opportunity and to be able to lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.

I have worked at the elementary school level for over 20 years as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, Assistant Principal and Principal.  I am so fortunate to have had these experiences and I am so incredibly excited to bring these ideas and partner with the entire Swartz community to ensure your child’s educational success.

On a personal note, I have been married to my husband, Tom for 17 years and have two boys, Tommy and Vinny. Tommy will be a Sophomore in high school and Vinny will be in 7th Grade.

As the principal of Stella May Swartz, I would like to welcome you to our school, home of the Vikings. I truly believe that all students can achieve their goals through hard work and perseverance. The staff and I are  committed to setting high academic standards for your students while providing a welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning. These high standards will help to instill the confidence and a work ethic that will follow your students throughout their schooling.

A strong partnership with parents is a crucial piece of helping to prepare students for their future. Parent involvement is critical and welcome here at Swartz.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or myself in the school office. We are all in this partnership to ensure your child’s success.

I am very much looking forward to meeting and working with each of you during the upcoming school year.   By engaging in teamwork, the students, parents, staff, and community of Stella May Swartz will create an outstanding 2024 - 2025 school year.

Best wishes for a successful and engaging school year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Karen Marino

Principal
