Swartz Families,
Students will be bringing home an informational packet on our school clubs today. If your child is interested in any clubs, they must return the last page of the packet completely filled out by Tuesday, 9/12/23 at noon. No money is due until students get notice that they are able to join the club. Depending on interest, we may need to choose students by blind drawing.
Thank you!
Our Swartz Elementary School Curriculum Night is on Thursday, 9/7 from 6:30 to 7:30. This is a parent only in-person event. At 6:30, we will have 2nd grade parents/guardians report to their child's classroom while 3rd and 4th grade parents meet with the principal, specialists and specials teachers in the gym. At 7:00 we will switch and 3rd and 4th grade parents will report to their child's classroom while 2nd grade parents meet staff in the gym.
We hope to see you there!
Swartz Families,
We had an awesome first week of school and are so excited for our first full week this week! We are starting our Positivity Project trait of the week on Monday. The Positivity Project is a resource to empower students to build positive relationships and become their best selves. Positive psychology's 24 character strengths serve as its foundation. Ranging from bravery and perseverance to integrity and gratitude. Each week, we will highlight a character trait and learn how we can grow in that trait. We are very excited to provide consistent instruction to help students enhance their self-awareness, self-confidence, understanding and appreciation of others, and interpersonal relationships.

Our introductory week is: Other People Mindset (learning how we think and care for others). Here is a letter with more information on OPM: https://tinyurl.com/y422dsmj
Our Viking Voice newsletters will be sent out every two weeks, starting on Friday, September 1st.
Have a great week!
We had an amazing first week! Yesterday students met all our staff members learned about fun incentives. This afternoon, students rotated to every classroom teacher and participated in a fun activity.
Have a fabulous weekend!
Swartz Parents/Guardians,
Whether you are dropping your child off at school or picking them up at the end of the day, please do not park on the east side of the building. We do not want to hold up the car line or cause a car accident. Please drive past the school to turn left on Monterey and drive around to drop off/pick up in the back of the school.
If you would like to walk your child to the front of the building in the morning or pick them up in the back of the building in the afternoon, please park on the west side of the building.
We have had a wonderful week!
Thank you.
We had a wonderful first day of school! Thank you for sharing your beautiful children with us! Just a reminder to send your child with a water bottle as it will be extremely warm tomorrow too.
